An interview with Lisa Wade-Miller

Where are you from?

Augusta, GA

What do you do for a living?

I’m a real estate investor and a real estate agent in Augusta, GA.

How long have you been involved in real estate?

I’ve been involved in real estate as an agent for six years and as a real estate investor for over a year now.

How do you get started in real estate?

I’ve always been interested in real estate. I was single mom and did hair. In 2016 I learned about becoming a real estate agent and realized I could do both jobs while raising my kids, additionally, it allowed me to stay at home and raise them.

What have been your favorite things about real estate?

I love helping people solve problems. Specifically, stopping the bank from taking their equity. For example, many families are in foreclosure and behind on payments and don’t know what to do. I help clients get their home sold quickly.

How did you get involved in real estate investing?

With six years helping people buy and sell houses and helping investors get great deals on properties, I realized that real estate investing would be a great solution.

How much does it help to be a real estate agent as a real estate investor?

100% – I definitely recommend becoming a real estate agent to anyone considering investing in real estate.

  • you learn how to do contracts correctly
  • It helps me as an investor to know my options.
