How to stop foreclosure in Augusta, Georgia

ARE YOU  FACING FORECLOSURE IN AUGUSTA, GA.?

UNDERSTANDING THE FORECLOSURE PROCESS

The foreclosure process can be very scary and frightful.

HERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO IN AUGUSTA, GA.

1. Call the mortgage company and request a reinstatement, also request a payoff GOOD FOR 30 DAYS.

2. Decide if you have the FUNDS to reinstate your loan. They will NOT take partial payment, must be in full.

3. If you reinstate the loan, that is what is best, if you can’t you have the following options…

A. Look into a loan modification(these take 30 days to review).

B. If you do want to keep your home, you can file bankruptcy, definitely would not do this option if you have equity in your home. The cost to file bankruptcy is $4000+. That is just adding to the debt you already owe.

C. You can call a realtor to sell your home and get out of debt. Most times you make a little money also. The realtor will handle calling the mortgage company and Speaking for myself here, I would get the auction placed on hold to give us more time to sell.

D. You can search out a fast cash buyer, which I could help you with as well.

THE STEPS ARE AS FOLLOWS IN GEORGIA.
1. First Missed Payment

2. Pre- foreclosure Notification.

3. Public Notice for auction sale(30 day notice)

4. Home sales at auction if foreclosed on with the bank.
